We are currently seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer III to join our Engineering & Design team in Denver, CO. Project Management • Documents project correspondence, issues, decisions and directions. • Learns and follows McKinstry Engineering standards and procedures. • Contributes to tasks on multiple projects and timelines concurrently. • Manages own workload to deliver assigned tasks on time and in the budget. • Identifies training, coaching, and support needed to complete assigned tasks. Design • Develops familiarity in mechanical systems design, including calculations, airside systems, piping systems, equipment selection and multi-discipline coordination. • Performs engineering calculations, design, and drafting tasks. • Produces design drawings and building information models for construction. • Pursues an understanding of the technical foundation of design activities and decisions. What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry • 3-5 years of HVAC design experience. • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline required or equivalent work experience required. Onsite construction experience considered and welcome. • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required. • Knowledge of Revit required. • Knowledge of other CAD/BIM tools welcome. • Familiarity with MATLAB, VBA, Python, InDesign, IES-VE, and/or other software tools welcome. • Engineering in Training Certificate preferred. The pay range for this position is $39.20 - $62.31 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is considered non-exempt and will be paid hourly. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
