Per Diem / Travel- $150/day per diem for candidates working in North Dakota who live more than 100 miles from the job site
- 100% reimbursable travel expenses
- Houston-based candidates: Travel is expected 3-4 days per month
- Williston-based candidates are preferred

ScopePerforms engineering design evaluations and executes capital projects within budget and schedule constraints. Provides technical engineering support throughout project execution while ensuring compliance with engineering standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Coordinates project activities across engineering, construction, contractors, and project management teams to ensure successful project delivery. Serves as backup to the Project Manager as required.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluation, and contractor selection
- Support identification and procurement of long-lead equipment
- Coordinate Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) support activities
- Coordinate EMCAPS (ExxonMobil Capital Project Management System) Gate 3 deliverables
- Coordinate development of Functional Interaction Plans
- Lead project issue resolution activities
- Coordinate project change requests and change authorizations
- Ensure assigned project scope is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
- Verify engineering design and construction comply with project specifications and standards
- Serve as the primary interface between the Project Team and contractors
- Ensure smooth transitions between project phases
- Support and lead the Project Management Team (PMT) utilizing ExxonMobil Project Management Systems
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Required)
- >5 years of experience
- Mechanical Engineering background preferred
- Experience in engineering, construction, project management, and project controls
- Broad multidisciplinary engineering experience
- Strong understanding of engineering standards, specifications, and work processes
- Excellent leadership, organizational, planning, and coordination skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage changing priorities and meet aggressive deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
Manager's Must-Have ExperienceCandidates should possess experience in one or more of the following:
- Facilities Engineering (Facility Engineer background is acceptable)
- Oil & Gas capital projects
- Engineering project execution
- Unconventional (UNCON) Midstream projects involving gas-driven production facilities
- Compression and Midstream facilities experience
- Upstream experience is highly preferred, but not required
Preferred Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will have experience managing Oil & Gas capital projects from engineering through construction and startup while coordinating contractors, engineering disciplines, procurement, and operations. Candidates with a strong mechanical engineering background and experience supporting upstream or midstream production facilities, compression, and facility projects will be highly competitive.
