Salary Range: $78,750 to $103,000

This position primarily involves working on-site at the project location or in office. Travel frequency and duration will vary depending on the role and project timeline.

ABOUT THE ROLEThe vision for the Project Engineer - Estimating to Traveling role will be to train with the Energy division's Estimating team, with intent to convert to an onsite traveling Project Engineer position.

During the Project Engineer's training period with the Energy division's Estimating team, they will: work closely with the Preconstruction team, Project Managers, Purchasing, Engineering, and report to the Chief Estimator - Energy. The Estimator will be responsible for developing and completing utility scale solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) estimates, including self-perform and subcontracted scopes of work. Estimating includes RFP & drawing package review, developing proposal level designs, quantity take-off, material RFQ prep & evaluation, and subcontractor RFQ prep & evaluation.

• Act as key point of contact with internal customers for specific scopes of work.
• Participates with Project Management on the execution of estimating activities including project bids and change orders.
• Contributes to effective job start meetings and team meetings.
• Supports the team by coordinating material onsite delivery dates with the project schedule.
• Partners with CEI safety professionals to identify hazards and document.
• Maintains complete and accurate RFI, submittal and change order logs. Maintains an organized filing system and structure.
• Maintains current drawing log and distributes new information to team members and subcontractors.
• Maintains close out log. Requests relevant documentation and submits to customer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education and experience that, in the sole judgment and discretion of Company, would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications may qualify.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or similar preferred.

Licensure/Certifications: None required.

Experience: Zero (0) years of construction or related experience required. Two (2) years of construction or related experience preferred.

Driving Record: Valid state-issued driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
