Job Description:Parsons has a career opportunity for an amazingly talented
Project Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will support the planning, design, and delivery of roadway and transportation projects, providing technical leadership, coordinating across disciplines, and ensuring high-quality design solutions that meet project goals, schedules, and applicable design standards.
What You'll Be Doing:- Analyze and prepare roadway and Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTCP) designs, calculations and drawings for Expressway/Limited-Access facilities and Arterial/Local roads using DOT and/or local jurisdiction criteria, with guidance provided on complex matters
- Develop 3D Models of roadways, using Corridor Modeling in GEOPAK and/or Open Roads
- Assists in determining the scope of procurement work, schedules, and budgets for assigned project buy outs, monitoring progress to maintain those procurements.
- Approach tasks with a project mindset, to include coordination with other disciplines throughout the duration of the project; propose innovative solutions to design problems with an understanding of project scope and goals
- Assign, track, and review tasks of technicians, designers, and engineers, ensuring adherence to project schedules; QC final work product
- Develops the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for assigned project elements, and monitors progress to meet schedule and budget requirements. Identifies and documents changes in scope.
- Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review; perform independent peer reviews on teamwork products
- Review contract plans and calculations from other engineering teams and outside entities to verify completion and compliance with governing transportation design codes and contract plans and specifications
- Serve as the Engineer-of-Record for mid-size and miscellaneous transportation designs
- Effectively present proposed team design solutions as part of internal project meetings; attend and contribute to presentations with external parties
- Ensure timely completion of time sheets, expense reports, and labor hours management
- Take ownership of personal and team member career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop and teach new skills, and setting and pursuing goals
- Contribute to the development of team members through mentorship and modeling positive behaviors
What Required Skills You'll Bring:- Bachelor's Degree Engineering (or related field)
- 10+ years related field engineering experience or a broad general engineering background
- Professional Engineer (PE)

Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00
