Project Engineer Project Engineer is responsible for the technical coordination of engineering activities for simple to mid-complexity design projects. Project Engineers maintain a close working relationship with the Project Manager and Lead Discipline Engineers. Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from a four-year ABET accredited university.
- Experience: 0 - 7 years’ experience

- Proactive in taking prompt and appropriate action to ensure objectives are accomplished and apply necessary follow-up to monitor progress and results of project tasks and assignments.
- Analytical approach to problem solving and identifying potential solutions
- Technical and business writing skills
- Innovative and able to generate and consider alternative strategies or approaches to work problems and opportunities
- Basic computer and software skills to include the use of work processing, email, spreadsheets, electronic presentations, and project management tools
- Project Management Certification (PMP) desired but not required.
Leadership
Prepared to demonstrate:
· Multi-discipline work coordination, facilitating technical teams in an Architectural / Engineering (AE) setting, specifically in disciplines such as Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Chemical/Process, Electrical, Controls, Specialty Design.
· Strong technical scope control
· Interest and aptitude for cost and schedule management
· High degree of organization and time management skills
Security Clearance
- Candidate must be a US Citizen. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
Work Location
- Amentum Engineering Home Office in Oak Ridge, TN. Resides in a commutable distance from our Oak Ridge, TN office, reportable 4 days/week.
Travel
• Position will require 25% travel.
Compensation Details:
$90,000 - $120.000
