Role description:

Arcadis seeks a Project Director - Rail Transit to join our Los Angeles team of dedicated professionals. In this role, you'll have the chance to work on exciting and engaging impactful infrastructure projects with a focus on design and installation as well as testing. Being responsible for project priorities, staffing forecast, and providing quality review, you'll be able to demonstrate your business acumen both to internal as well as external clients.

Role accountabilities:
  • Manage transportation-related projects and client communications.
  • Develop production work plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Serve as single point of contact for clients.
  • Work with other project managers to establish contract budgets and scopes of work.
  • Lead Rail and Transit project teams in analysis and design, overseeing performance of complex design.
  • Ensure proper codes and standards are used on projects.
  • Mentor technical staff and assistant project managers.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and review work of engineers and designers.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field is often required.
  • Minimum 10 years of extensive project management experience, to handle project elements such as planning, budgeting, execution, and delivery
  • CA Professional Engineer License (PE) or PEng

Key Skills & Abilities:
  • Familiarity with rail track, rail signal, or rail grade crossing design and construction
  • Proficiency in planning, coordinating, and handling multiple railroad projects within the area of responsibility
  • Ability to work in a dynamic matrix environment, collaborate with regional and local managers, and manage marketing and production efforts.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, time management skills

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $250,000 - $300,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
