Who are you?

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Project Director to join our growing Data Centres team, leading the delivery of complex mission-critical construction projects and programs. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, client management, and project delivery experience within large-scale construction environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery of complex data centre and mission-critical construction programs from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout.
  • Provide strategic oversight across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives, commercial targets, schedules, and delivery milestones.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams including consultants, contractors, vendors, and client stakeholders across all phases of project delivery.
  • Oversee project governance, reporting, budgeting, risk management, change management, and quality assurance processes.
  • Support the successful execution of commissioning, operational readiness, turnover, and equipment integration activities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while acting as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive issue resolution, risk mitigation, and decision-making across complex and fast-paced project environments.
  • Mentor and support project management teams while promoting collaboration, accountability, and delivery excellence.
  • Contribute to business development activities, pursuits, and client growth opportunities within the data centre sector.
  • SOX control responsibilities may form part of this role and are to be adhered to where applicable.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. PMP or similar professional certification is considered an asset.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience within construction, mission-critical, data centre, or large-scale infrastructure project environments.
  • Strong experience leading complex construction programs including project delivery, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and oversee multiple concurrent projects within fast-paced delivery environments.
  • Strong commercial, financial, and reporting acumen, including experience supporting executive-level project governance and decision-making.
  • Proficiency with project management, scheduling, and construction management platforms such as MS Project, Primavera, Procore, or similar systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, client management, and team development skills.

The base salary range for this full-time role is $150,000.00 - $205,000.00 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate's experience and qualifications.
