Job Description

As a Project Development Manager for Custom Technologies in Honeywell Industrial Solutions, you will play a crucial role in leading technical business development projects to solve customer challenges and grow our business in our dynamic Versal™ alumina, custom catalyst, and nuclear segments. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of these projects, ensuring their successful execution and commercialization. Additionally, you will provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to drive innovation and continuous improvement in these areas.

In these markets, Honeywell wins by working extremely close to our customers to translate their technical needs and customize our product and service offerings to create value and build strong customer partnerships.

You will report directly to our Specialties Industrial Solutions Senior Business Leader and you will work out of our Houston, Texas location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will have an impact by driving technical excellence, project management, collaboration, and customer satisfaction. Your expertise and leadership will contribute to the growth, competitiveness, and success of Honeywell Industrial Solutions in the market.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote per week and will include 30% travel both domestic and international.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead technical business development projects across our Versal alumina, custom catalyst, and nuclear remediation segments
  • Lead exploration into new applications for our Versal aluminas
  • Develop opportunities for our custom catalyst tolling business
  • Lead exploration into new nuclear remediation applications
  • Partner closely with sales to develop and communicate quantified value propositions for key customer projects and sales opportunities
  • Partner with R&D to develop any tools needed for quantifying our value proposition
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, R&D, marketing, and operations
  • Serve as the technical lead to close major customer projects, drive customer adoption of new products, provide technical support on any customer quality issues, and identify new value drivers and market needs for new products and services


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • 5+ years of experience in the field of catalysis, aluminas, or nuclear remediation
  • Strong technical expertise in the development and implementation of these products
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience working closely with customers to understand and solve their needs in a way that creates value for both parties
  • Passion for safety, sustainability, and compliance

WE VALUE
  • Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in the field of air separation adsorbents
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills '
  • Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement
