Full Job Description
Role Summary:

The Chief Data & AI Office is seeking a seasoned Director-level Project / Program Management leader to establish and lead a high-performing program management function across Data and AI workstreams. This role will provide execution discipline, portfolio transparency, stakeholder alignment, and executive-level communication support across a fast-moving, strategic agenda.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic, hands-on leader who is comfortable operating in ambiguity, driving structure across multiple initiatives, and ensuring disciplined follow-through across complex technology, data, AI, governance, and change-management efforts. This individual will also serve as a trusted Chief of Staff partner, helping translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, executive materials, decisions, and measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and lead the Data & AI program management function, including operating routines, governance forums, status reporting, issue/risk management, and cross-workstream coordination.
  • Oversee and coordinate project managers supporting Data, AI, platform, governance, reporting, and business enablement initiatives.
  • Drive execution across multiple concurrent priorities, ensuring clear ownership, milestones, dependencies, escalations, and timely follow-through.
  • Partner with technology, business, risk, governance, finance, and transformation stakeholders to align delivery plans with enterprise priorities and control expectations.
  • Lead large-scale technology implementation and change-management activities, helping teams move from strategy through adoption, operational readiness, and measurable value realization.
  • Create executive-ready communications and presentations, translating complex program details into clear, compelling narratives for senior leadership, governance forums, and business partners.
  • Serve as a leadership partner, helping prepare leadership discussions, synthesize decisions, track commitments, anticipate risks, and improve the effectiveness of the broader Data & AI organization.
  • Bring analytical rigor to portfolio management, including prioritization, capacity planning, dependency management, KPI tracking, benefits realization, and executive-level reporting.

Required Experience & Capabilities
  • Seasoned Project / Program Management leader with experience managing complex, cross-functional technology portfolios.
  • Strong background in technology systems implementation, preferably across data platforms, AI/analytics, enterprise applications, or large-scale transformation programs.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale change management, adoption planning, stakeholder engagement, and operational readiness.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, PMs, priorities, and executive follow-ups simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent executive communication, storytelling, presentation development, and written communication skills.
  • Highly articulate, assertive, structured, and analytical, with the confidence to challenge constructively and drive clarity.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to operate as a trusted partner to senior leadership.
  • Ability to bring structure to ambiguity, simplify complexity, and convert strategy into disciplined execution.

Success Profile

The successful candidate will be a force multiplier for the Data & AI leadership team: someone who can connect strategy to execution, bring discipline without bureaucracy, communicate with clarity, and influence, and help the organization move faster while maintaining transparency, accountability, and control.
