Position Description:

CGI Montreal is looking for a Project Delivery Consultant to serve as a trusted partner for project teams, Project Control Officers (PCOs), and PMO teams. Working closely with the Performance and Practices team, you will be responsible for operationalizing, deploying, and supporting the adoption of project management practices, standards, performance metrics, and governance tools. Through your coaching, coordination, and field feedback role, you will play a key part in ensuring the consistency, quality, and value of performance information, enabling a shared and objective view of project delivery while supporting the continuous improvement of the PMO. This position does not involve direct responsibility for decision-making authority or operational project delivery.

Your Team:
• Project Managers and PCOs - (Adoption and application of practices, understanding and use of performance indicators)
• Performance and Practices Team - (Field feedback, alignment between practices, tools, and data, performance metrics, data quality, dashboards)
• Portfolio / PMO Team - (Performance reporting, reporting consistency, and governance support)
• PMO Tool Users - (Functional support, adherence to standards, and user experience improvement)

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Operationalize project management practices and standards: Deploy, apply, and contextualize the defined methodologies, templates, and guidelines to ensure their consistent use and alignment with project realities in the field.
• Support the use of performance indicators: Assist project teams and project PCOs in understanding, interpreting, and using established performance indicators and dashboards, while providing structured field feedback on their relevance and applicability
• Contribute to the evolution and use of PMO tools: Support the implementation, optimal use, and compliance with PMO tool usage principles, ensuring alignment with defined practices and metrics
• Guide and support users: Train, advise, and support project managers, project PCOs, and PMO teams in adopting practices, metrics, and tools, acting as a functional and methodological point of reference
• Contribute to continuous improvement through field feedback: Identify pain points, issues, and improvement opportunities arising from the field and formulate practical, actionable recommendations to support the evolution of practices, metrics, and governance mechanisms

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• University degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience in managing complex projects or working within a PMO environment
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end project lifecycle, from feasibility assessment through project closure
• Proficiency with PMO tools (Jira, Smartsheet, Power BI, or equivalent) and demonstrated ability to use and interpret performance indicators and dashboards
• Ability to apply and clearly communicate project management frameworks, methodologies, and standards (traditional, Agile, or hybrid)
• Ability to identify and highlight inconsistencies between practices, PMO tools, data, and operational usage, and contribute to alignment efforts
• Proven ability to train, coach, and influence Project Managers and Project PCOs in adopting PMO standards without direct authority
• Ability to identify operational pain points, propose practical improvement opportunities, and contribute to the pragmatic evolution of project management practices and governance mechanisms
• Experience in the manufacturing sector is considered an asset
• Excellent communication skills in both French and English (spoken, written)

The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is 70 000$ et 135 000$. This role is an existing vacancy.
