Full Job Description
As a Project Delivery & QA Analyst, you will serve as a key technical and operational bridge, managing system configurations and leading quality assurance processes. This role is vital for evaluating new software releases, executing proof-of-concept designs, and translating complex system functions into practical business solutions. Working closely with internal teams and external technology providers, you will resolve critical system tickets and establish seamless configuration rollout strategies. If you enjoy troubleshooting data complexities using PL/SQL, mentoring team members, and navigating collaborative projects across multiple business units, this opportunity is for you.

What will you do?

  • Collaborate with business teams and collaborators to gather project requirements and present creative system solutions
  • Configure and test system functionalities within test environments to build proof-of-concept models
  • Lead quality assurance and system testing activities, including writing test plans and reviewing vendor release documentation
  • Translate highly technical terminology into clear instructions for user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Write PL/SQL queries to analyze data, troubleshoot complex system errors, and fill reporting gaps
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to junior staff members
  • Act as an escalation point for critical operational tickets and coordinate directly with global technology vendors for resolutions
  • Other related duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Two-year diploma in business or technology.
  • Two to five years of experience in business software management, systems analysis, project delivery, and software quality assurance.


Assets:

  • Formal SQL Training

  • Service design citation or certification
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace utilities (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
  • Experience working with complex multi-unit project deliveries within a public or unionized framework.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Hire is dependent on a Criminal Records Check (CRC) that is satisfactory to the City of Edmonton, and there may be a cost associated with this requirement


Work Environment:

  • Note: This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with the flexibility to work from both home and the worksite as per the Letter of Understanding between the City of Edmonton and Civic Service Union 52.
  • The weekly hours of work for this position are currently under review and may change at a future time. Any changes will be made in accordance with the City of Edmonton/Civic Service Union 52 collective agreement, and the incumbent will be notified in advance.
  • This role works primarily in an indoor setting.

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week

Salary Range: $41.177 - $51.444 (Hourly) $85,977.580 - $107,415.070 (Annually)
