Job DescriptionRole OverviewAs Project Coordinator, Special Projects, you will support construction-focused data center projects by coordinating schedules, action tracking, documentation, meetings, and cross-functional follow-through. This role helps Special Projects teams execute remediation, retrofit, expansion, and infrastructure improvement work with clear visibility, disciplined records, and timely issue resolution.
You will partner with project managers, construction managers, engineering teams, commissioning partners, site operations, procurement, vendors, and technical SMEs. The role requires strong organization, communication, document control, and project tracking skills in active mission-critical environments.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities- Support project managers and technical leads in coordinating Special Projects construction activities across assigned sites or workstreams.
- Maintain project schedules, action registers, meeting notes, issue logs, risk trackers, decision logs, and documentation repositories.
- Coordinate meetings, agendas, follow-ups, owner assignments, and status updates with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and site stakeholders.
- Track submittals, closeout documents, commissioning evidence, punch lists, turnover requirements, and operational handoff materials.
- Support readiness reviews by gathering updates from Construction, Engineering, Operations, Commissioning, Procurement, and vendors.
- Prepare concise project status summaries, milestone updates, blocker reports, and leadership-ready action lists.
- Monitor open items to ensure accountable owners, due dates, dependencies, and escalation paths remain clear.
- Assist with procurement tracking, vendor coordination, access requests, logistics, site visit planning, and document routing.
- Help ensure project records support audit readiness, warranty tracking, asset onboarding, safety expectations, and handoff discipline.
- Identify recurring process gaps and recommend improvements to templates, trackers, meeting cadence, and documentation standards.
- Support multiple concurrent projects while maintaining accurate records and timely communication.
- Reinforce safety, access-control, and active-site protocols when coordinating project activities.
Ideal Candidate Profile- 5+ years of experience in project coordination, construction administration, data center support, facilities operations, engineering support, procurement coordination, or technical program support.
- Experience coordinating projects in construction, mission-critical facilities, data centers, utilities, industrial operations, or infrastructure environments.
- Strong ability to maintain trackers, schedules, action logs, meeting notes, and document repositories.
- Experience working with project managers, contractors, vendors, engineering teams, and site operations stakeholders.
- Strong written communication, follow-up discipline, and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in construction management, business, operations, engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills / Certifications- Experience with Smartsheet, MS Project, Primavera, Procore, Jira, SharePoint, CMMS, or document control systems.
- Familiarity with construction closeout, commissioning, punch lists, O&M; documentation, as-builts, warranties, and turnover packages.
- CAPM, PMP, OSHA, construction management, document control, or project coordination certification.
- Experience supporting hyperscale data centers, colocation, utilities, critical manufacturing, or other mission-critical environments.
- Working knowledge of data center power, cooling, controls, security, and operational readiness concepts.
Physical Demands / Work EnvironmentThis role operates across office, remote collaboration, construction, commissioning, and active data center environments. The position may require travel to sites. Site visits may involve walking large facilities, standing for extended periods, using stairs, and following all safety, PPE, security, and access-control requirements.
