Job Description Summary
The Project Controls and Data Governance Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing project controls, data integrity, and governance processes for the business/account. This role ensures consistent, quality project delivery, compliance with corporate regulations, and effective data management across all project phases. The Project Controls & Data Governance Specialist is responsible for establishing and maintaining centralized project controls and robust data governance frameworks across client's global real estate and workplace portfolio in accordance with either C&W' delivery process, the client's delivery process, or both. This role ensures quality project delivery, compliance with account-defined processes, and drives transparency and consistency in data management.
Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

Project Controls
  • Works with or within a centralized, multi-disciplinary team of Program Managers and Project Controls Analysts.
  • Develop/maintain controls structures that establish clear process expectations of project delivery and means/methods to track/measure compliance against these expectations.
  • Oversee document control, auditing, QA/QC, and delivery assurance activities.
  • Collaborate with client finance teams for cost reporting and uniform reporting requirements.
  • Support project delivery, project management, and quality control for various project categories.
  • Implement controls and compliance, training, and improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and enforce governance models.
  • Support training and upskilling initiatives related to project controls and data governance.
  • Centralized project controls and data governance frameworks for global consistency.
  • Comprehensive project documentation, including risk assessments, compliance reports, and performance dashboards.
  • Continuous improvement in project controls, data governance, and operational efficiency.


Governance & Reporting
  • Develop/maintain governance strategies intended to audit, measure, and remediate compliance with process and controls expectations.
  • Establish and maintain centralized data management systems for real estate and workplace projects for global consistency
  • Ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with all project-related data.
  • Implement rigorous data approval processes and audit trails to support compliance and reporting.
  • Ensure data integrity, governance, and compliance with client's process and requirements.
  • Partner with C&W IT, Client Technology and Data Governance Teams and business units to ensure seamless integration of data platforms and adherence to client standards.
  • Provide regular updates, project reporting, and performance dashboards to senior management.
  • Support training and upskilling initiatives related to project controls and data governance.
  • Leverage analytics and reporting tools to monitor project performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Comprehensive project documentation, including risk assessments, compliance reports, and performance dashboards.
  • Continuous improvement in project controls, data governance, and operational efficiency.


Continuous Improvement & Sustainability
  • Drive process innovation and best practice sharing across the project management team.
  • Support sustainability and operational excellence initiatives through data-led optimization.
  • Continuous improvement in project controls, data governance, and operational efficiency.
  • Active participation in town halls, and outreach programs to drive future innovation and talent engagement.

  • Act as a key integrator and connector across all client locations, facilitating collaboration between project management, IT, and business stakeholders.

Education:
  • B.S. Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administrations, Data/Analytics, or related field.


Important Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years directly related experience in a project management governance or support role


Additional Qualifications:
  • Significant knowledge of project and change management methodologies, techniques, processes (e.g. Project & Portfolio Management Methodology).
  • Proven experience working in a Program Management Office (PMO), overseeing both internal and external delivery teams managing corporate upfit projects in occupied work environments.
  • PMP or PMI-CP a plus.
  • Applicable experience and success managing budget, cost and profitability of a company or account.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required; experience with TRIRIGA a plus
  • Experience/competency with reporting platforms such as PowerBI also a plus

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $ 89,250.00 - $105,000.00
