Job Description
  • As a Project Control Lead, you will be involved in:
  • Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems.
  • Client interface, attends regular meetings and provides strategy-type recommendations on critical matters to support decision-making.
  • Advise client on the establishment of the program master coding architecture, integration of all functional requirements, and development of a robust, scalable reporting system across the program.
  • Advise client on the development and implementation of project controls procedures to support the implementation of best practices, primarily for schedule, cost, earned value, risk, and change management processes.
  • Oversees the preparation and progress of the Master Development Schedule.
  • Manages a team of Project Control specialists who are qualified to analyze, evaluate, and forecast project costs and performance against an established schedule with critical milestones. Assesses the impact of design and construction changes and schedule slippages.
  • PMIS oversight and reporting to this position
  • Recommends and oversees the implementation and customization of project control systems to meet specific project requirements.
  • Coordinates staffing requirements, assigns and supervises project work activities, and trains personnel.
  • Completes performance reviews and provides personnel development goals and opportunities for the assigned employees.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or related field)
  • Mining or Heavy industrial Experience is desired.
  • 10-15 years of related experience, including supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Strong cost management and reporting background is required.
  • Requires basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or related fields.
  • Proficient PC skills, including proficiency in various Project Controls Software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven ability to perform in a supervisory capacity.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry practices is required.
  • Secret clearance or ability to get it
  • P.Eng, PMP a bonus
