Project Controls Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of high-stakes, dynamic energy projects. We are looking for a proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented expert to partner with Project Managers and CAMs to deliver projects on time and within budget.
What You'll Do:- Architect Project Baselines: Develop comprehensive, integrated baseline schedules and cost estimates in collaboration with the project team.
- Drive Performance: Monitor and update schedule/cost performance weekly/monthly, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage the Critical Path: Actively analyze and maintain the critical path, identifying bottlenecks before they impact the project.
- Provide Actionable Insights: Perform in-depth cost/schedule analysis, presenting clear, proactive reporting to CAMs and project leadership.
- Mitigate Risk: Collaborate with teams to identify risks early, developing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Trend Analysis & Forecasting: Perform trend analysis to identify positive/negative outcomes, offering feasible recommendations.
- Control Changes: Lead the change control process to ensure scope changes are accurately captured.
What We're Looking For:- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on project controls experience, ideally in engineering or construction.
- Software Mastery: 3+ years of experience with Primavera P6.
- Cost Management: 3+ years utilizing Project Management Cost Processors (PMCP/Cobra or similar).
- EVM Expertise: Intermediate to advanced experience working in Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
- Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.
- Communication: Excellent written and oral skills to articulate complex data to stakeholders.
- Education: B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, or Business.
Preferred Qualifications:- PMI (PMP/SP) or AACE certification.
- Department of Energy (DOE) or NRC project experience.
