The Opportunity

WSP is looking for a Project Control Analyst to join its Project Services - Project Cost Control group, in one of our offices in Terrace, Vancouver, Kelowna or Victoria.

In this role, you will play a key part in driving project performance by ensuring integrated tracking of costs, progress, and schedules throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with project managers, planners, technical teams, and other members of Project Services to support structured, proactive, and performance-driven decision-making.

Your Impact
  • Ensure project cost control (budgets, committed costs, forecast at completion).
  • Implement and apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to measure actual project performance.
  • Analyze physical progress of work and assess its impact on costs and schedules.
  • Prepare and maintain periodic forecasts (EAC / ETC) in collaboration with project managers.
  • Produce integrated performance analyses (cost, schedule, progress) and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Perform variance analysis against baselines and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support change management processes (impact assessment on costs and schedule).
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and traceability of project control data in the systems in place.
  • Collaborate with planners to ensure alignment between cost data and schedules.
  • Actively participate in project review meetings and contribute to performance discussions.
  • Apply WSP project control frameworks, procedures, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, methods, and standards within the Cost Control group.
  • Support and collaborate with junior and intermediate PCOs within the Project Services team.

The skills that set you apart
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project control or project cost control.
  • Experience working on engineering projects is mandatory.
  • Experience in heavy industrial projects is a strong asset.
  • Required knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and its indicators (PV, EV, AC, CPI, SPI).
  • Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting, baselines, and variance analysis concepts.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (analysis, tracking tables, modeling).
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6, Power BI, InEight, or similar tools (an asset).
  • Ability to work on complex and multidisciplinary projects.
  • Strong rigor, analytical mindset, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • The candidate may be required to travel occasionally

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: $89 800 - 118 900

MB & ON: $81 900 - 112 800

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $81 100 - 107 700
