Your future role on our team

As a Project Controls Manager, seconded to the client's team, you'll serve as the owner's independent authority on project performance, leading the integrated project controls function and ensuring the integrity of HSE, cost, schedule, risk, and change management across the project. You will lead the implementation of an integrated project controlsframework and provide clear, data-driven insight to support executivedecision-making.

Working directly with construction leadership, contractors, and projectteams, you will contribute to predictable, disciplined project execution whilehelping strengthen BBA's presence and reputation in the U.S. market.

This position is offered as a secondment within the client's project team, providing direct exposure to a major EPCM mining project delivered through an integrated team environment.

Overview of the Role

Project controls governance & readiness
  • Establish and implement the project controls framework prior to construction scale-up
  • Ensure alignment between WBS, cost, schedule, and reporting structures
  • Assess project readiness and identify gaps for successful execution

Integrated performance management
  • Govern integrated cost, schedule, risk, change, progress, and document control systems.
  • Establish performance measurement standards, KPIs, and assurance routines across owner and contractors.
  • Ensure consistent, auditable reporting that supports executive decision making.

Schedule, cost, risk & change control
  • Own the integrated master schedule, cost baseline, and forecasting discipline.
  • Govern risk management and formal change control to ensure early warning and baseline integrity.
  • Provide executive insight into critical path, cost exposure, contingency, and emerging risks.

Contractor and delivery integration
  • Define and enforce contractor controls requirements and baseline approval processes.
  • Integrate procurement, contracting, and logistics into cost, schedule, and risk baselines.
  • Provide independent assurance of contractor data quality, delivery risk, and reporting discipline

Leadership & organization
  • Build and lead the project controls organization with clear roles, standards, and accountability.
  • Govern document management and quality systems to ensure auditable, compliant project records.
  • Ensure quality, inspection, and turnover data are fully integrated into performance reporting.

  • 15+ years of experience, carrying out these functions on large-scale projects in the heavy industrial or mining sectors
  • Worked on all phases of a major project lifecycle
  • Proficiency with the industry best practices such as AACEI and PMI
  • Strong expertise in planning/scheduling and project cost control
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 and advanced knowledge Excel
  • Practical knowledge of Primavera P6 and other project control software
  • Travel: Occasional to frequent depending on project needs
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Additional Assets:
  • Practical knowledge of the Prism G2 Suite
  • Carried out these functions as part of international projects
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
