We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our Dallas team as a Project Architect, where you will play a key role in shaping the culture, performance, and design excellence of our Stantec office. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys collaboration, and brings strong technical expertise to a variety of project types.

The ideal candidate is an effective communicator who can work seamlessly with clients, consultants, technical staff, and internal team members. Flexibility, adaptability, and comfort working in fast-paced, evolving project environments are essential.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage project design development, production, and documentation efforts from concept through construction;
  • Forecast project needs, establish work plans, and organize team activities to meet schedule and budget expectations;
  • Identify and resolve design challenges, ensuring compliance with firm standards, protocols, and best practices;
  • Produce and oversee high-quality architectural and technical details, with a comprehensive understanding of building systems and construction administration practices;
  • Support on-site construction administration, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and coordinating with contractors;
  • Maintain a strong understanding of project budgets, schedules, codes, accessibility standards, and jurisdictional requirements;
  • Manage internal project teams of varying sizes, fostering clear communication and positive relationships with clients, owners, consultants, and contractors;
  • Coordinate with governing authorities to obtain building permits, complete code reviews, and secure necessary approvals;
  • Mentor and coach junior staff, promoting professional development and quality standards across the team;
  • Prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy, organization, and a high level of professionalism.


Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Experience managing projects across multiple scales, with emphasis on large projects valued at $30M+;
  • Strong architectural and detailing skills with proficiency in construction administration;
  • Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate with external partners;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Excellent written communication skills; confident in public speaking and networking;
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited institution;

7+ years of professional experience, ideally with project exposure in one or more of the following sectors:
  • Science & Technology
  • Mixed-Use
  • Datacenter
  • Hospitality
  • Healthcare
  • Commercial / Workplace


Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
