General Summary:Opportunity to join the QCT Global SOC Operations Team supporting the GSOC PMO team in a Program Analyst role focused on driving engineering compute efficiency and advancing AI-driven productivity initiatives. This role is responsible for monitoring and analyzing compute utilization, identifying inefficiencies such as resource wastage and workload imbalances, and partnering with engineering and IT teams to implement data-driven optimization strategies.
The Program Analyst will leverage dashboards, metrics, and analytics to provide actionable insights, support capacity planning decisions, and improve overall compute performance. Additionally, this role will contribute to the adoption of AI-based solutions, enhance operational processes, and coordinate across teams to deliver scalable improvements in engineering productivity and infrastructure efficiency.
This is an office based position in San Diego, CA.
Minimum Qualifications:• Associate's degree.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of relevant work experience.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Business, or related field OR associate degree with 2 years of relevant work experience OR High School diploma with 4 years of relevant experience.
- In addition, 2-3 years Program Analyst experience or related work experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience creating, scheduling, and maintaining program plans or related experience.
- 2+ years of experience with program management tools.
- Microsoft applications (MS Office including Word, Excel, PPT, MS Project and Visio), strong computer expertise, and the ability to learn new applications and technologies rapidly.
- Must have strong Excel skills, especially with formulas, pivot tables, macros to extract data from multiple sources, vlookups, graphs, etc.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, JIRA, Microsoft Project Planning, Tableau, ThoughtSpot and other equivalent data analytics and program management tools.
- Experience understanding and working with technical concepts Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to operate in team environments.
- Exposure to tools like JIRA, Thoughtspot, Tableau, Splunk
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:- Analyze compute utilization and workload trends to support data-driven decisions on capacity planning, resource optimization, and infrastructure efficiency improvements.
- Drive identification and resolution of engineering compute inefficiencies, by partnering with engineering teams and stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
- Drive adoption of AI-enabled solutions to optimize compute utilization, improve resource efficiency, and deliver measurable gains in engineering productivity and operational performance.
- Monitor engineering compute dashboards to track capacity, utilization, and identify trends or anomalies impacting efficiency.
- Analyze compute usage data to uncover opportunities for improving resource allocation and utilization across engineering projects.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and IT to support initiatives that enhance compute efficiency and reduce resource wastage.
- Support AI productivity initiatives for the GSOC PMO team by helping track adoption, documenting use cases, measuring impact, and coordinating execution of improvement efforts.
- Assist with evaluating, implementing AI-based tools, processes, and workflows that improve team productivity and operational effectiveness.
- Assists with implementing new AI-based processes and methods (e.g. tracking tools, schedules, databases, documentation management systems).
Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits: $32.70 - $49.04
