Qualifications

  • Degree in Commerce, Business, Accounting, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant project accounting experience, ideally in construction, engineering, or heavy manufacturing.
  • Advanced ERP proficiency, preferably in SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Lead transactional accounting, reconciliations, revenue recognition, accruals, and month-end close.
  • Manage subtrade contracts, owner billings, accounts receivable, collections, and change order reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, contracts, tax, and regulatory requirements; lead audits.
  • Prepare and analyze cash flow, accounts receivable, accounts payable; support budgets and monthly reviews.
  • Partner with Operations on project setup, bids, and contract administration while driving system and process improvements.

Graham is actively recruiting a Project Accountant to support the Buildings Divisions. Reporting to the Operations Finance Controller, this role provides end-to-end accounting and financial support for a portfolio of building projects, including project controls, reporting, budgets, and forecasts.

Your Role in Building What Matters - From Office to Site
  • Project Accounting & Close - Lead transactional accounting, reconciliations, revenue recognition, accruals, and month-end close.
  • Contracts, Billing & Account Receivable - Manage subtrade contracts, owner billings, Account Receivable, collections, and change order reconciliations.
  • Compliance & Audits - Ensure compliance with accounting standards, contracts, tax, and regulatory requirements, lead audits.
  • Financial Reporting & Cash Flow - Prepare and analyze cash flow, Account Receivable, Account Payable, and support budgets and monthly reviews.
  • Operations Partnership & Process Improvement - Partner with Operations on project setup, bids, and contract administration while driving system and process improvements.

Compensation
  • Salary Range $80,000 to $100,000 per annum
