Reporting to the Finance Manager, the
Project Accountant plays an essential role in supporting project execution working with accounts payable, purchasing and payroll supporting multiple projects across Western Canada. This is an in office position based out of Vancouver, BC.
What You'll Do Here:- Responsible for project finance working with accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, payroll and Business Unit finance to prepare partnership financial reports
- Assist in the preparation of cash flows for the project
- Prepare monthly reconciliations related to Balance Sheet & Income statement
- Assist with audits - financial, Internal control & tax
- Work with Project Operations Management team to identify and forecast financial exposures
- Work with project staff / project controls to review all standard costs
- Participate in the preparation of quarterly forecasts/ annual Business Plans/ Budgets for the project
- Project month-end organization, prepare, and enter month end entries such as subcontractor accruals and cost transfers
- Assist with the review & issue of project cost reports and with developing Estimated Costs at Completion (ECAC),
- Preparing monthly progress invoices to Owner/Consultant for work performed during the month; enter client billings into the applicable system
- Ensure payroll, taxation and accounting practices in compliance with statutory requirements
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

What You Bring to the Team:- Previous experience in the construction industry preferred.
- Must possess 3+ years of office related experience with knowledge of purchasing, accounts payable, document control, and payroll.
- Prior accounting experience, accounting degree, enrolled or pursuing CPA preferred
- Computer skills in MS Word and MS Excel.
- Experience with SAP, BPC and Business Objects is valued.
- Strong organization, document storage, tracking and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a team player, be able to work independently and prioritize workload.
- Must have strong work ethic.
- Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines.

Salary - $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per annum
