The Role -Amphenol Aerospace is seeking a
Programmer Analystto work out its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.
The
Programmer Analyst provides system design and implementation of programs as originated from user and business requirements, analyze existing system logic modifying as necessary to provide more efficient business operations and/or flows
The key responsibilities of the
Programmer Analyst include, but are not limited to:
- Code, test, and implement highly complex programs and embedded jobs
- Develop test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs
- Prepare detailed specifications from user requirements which programs are developed and coded
- Create appropriate documentation from work programming assignments
- Gather information from production systems, analyze user requirements to develop appropriate implementation schedules
- Work with users to resolve issues and validate programming requirements within their areas of responsibility
- Member of the department on-call team

- 30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY
- 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY
Salary: $63,000 - $100,000The Person -The key skills and qualities of a
Programmer Analyst at Amphenol Aerospace:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science and 2+ years of experience or equivalent of years of software development experience
- Proficient with MS development tools and platforms
- Experience with relational database systems including SQL Server
- Experience with C#, JavaScript, CSS, HTML
- Experience with .Net Framework, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core
- Understanding of enterprise applications
- Understanding of older languages including RPG, COBOL, CL
- Strong programming skills
- Strong business solution skills
- Strong analytical skills for design, creation, and testing of applications and system flows
- Good interpersonal skills to interact with users and team members
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to work effectively with team members, support personnel, and users
- Exercises independent judgment and discretion utilizing broad knowledge of computer analytical techniques
- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer usage
