Full Job Description
Federal Civilian Position (NH-03 / GS12-13) - Program Specialist (Human Capital):
Serves as the Defense Innovation Unit's (DIU) technical advisor and program specialist for human capital management. This position is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and supporting comprehensive human resource programs across the organization. The incumbent will support the execution of essential workforce initiatives, focusing heavily on recruitment and staffing, performance management, training, and employee recognition. Key responsibilities include advising hiring managers on personnel actions, drafting operating procedures to leverage human capital flexibilities, and coordinating administrative requirements with Department counterparts. Working closely with Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) and other Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) counterparts, the incumbent will represent the division in cross-functional forums and execute high-priority administrative projects that keep DIU operating at the speed of innovation.

This position is in the National Capital Region.
