DutiesHelp
Duties of the Program Specialist include but are not limited to the following: - Implementing new requirements or makes changes to procedures that correspond to new or amended legislation and regulations.
- Analyzing data and prepares reporting on OSHA debt collection efforts as required by the Chief Financial Officer's Act and specified by Treasury, using key departmental and agency-specific performance measures.
- Serving as automated systems expert; assisting Area Offices with problems processing OSHA Information System (OIS) and OSHA Legacy Data (OLD) system financial data.
- Interpreting and appliying legislative and regulatory requirements to develop directives for OSHA-wide implementation.
- Supporting the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) in the annual audit of OSHA debt collection activities.

QualificationsSpecialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-12, in the Federal Service.
Qualifying specialized experience for the GS-13 includes:- Interpreting and/or applying Federal debt management laws, regulations or policies.
- Developing and/or implementing agency wide directives and procedures.
- Providing information on credit and debit management procedures, tools, and techniques.
