As a Quality Engineer III, you will play a role in the execution and oversight of quality assurance processes. This position requires substantial experience in quality control, process improvement, and regulatory compliance, ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage comprehensive quality assurance programs. • Lead complex quality audits and assessments. • Drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives. • Utilize advanced statistical techniques to analyze quality data and drive improvements. • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level quality engineers. • Develop strategies for regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to industry standards. • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate quality standards into every stage of product development. • Manage supplier quality assurance programs to ensure consistent quality standards. Qualifications You Must Have: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. • 5+ Years experience as a Quality Engineer or in a related field. • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of related experience is required. • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience. • Considerable knowledge of Quality System requirements and contract quality requirements. • Proficient ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedures. • Proven leadership and project management experience. • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Black Belt. • Advanced knowledge of ISO9001, AS9001 standards. • Extensive experience in manufacturing and inspection. • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required Qualifications We Prefer: • Experience in the aerospace and defense industry. • Advanced degree in Engineering or related field. Essential Functions: • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly. • Requirement to be on feet for a significant portion of the work shift. • Majority of work hours spent on a computer. • Hand/finger dexterity for using testing and inspection tools. • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment. • Occasional travel may be required for audits and supplier visits. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
