Are you looking for an opportunity to deepen your planning and scheduling skills in a meaningful work environment that supports and protects explorers and heroes? Join our team! The Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst III leads the development and management of comprehensive project schedules for large-scale and complex programs. This role ensures the integration of all project activities, performs advanced risk management, and provides detailed schedule analysis. The Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst III collaborates closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure alignment with program objectives and timelines.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation, development, and coordination of integrated master plans and schedules for highly complex projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Oversee the tracking and maintenance of project plans and schedules to ensure horizontal and vertical integration across the enterprise.
  • Conduct advanced risk analysis to identify and proactively mitigate schedule risks, ensuring project timelines are met.
  • Identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts using Gantt, Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT), milestone charts, and other advanced project management techniques.
  • Evaluate schedule compliance and systematically identify reasons for completion shortfalls, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations on schedule status to senior stakeholders, providing clear insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive scheduling data, fostering effective communication and coordination.
  • Support program management in developing and implementing advanced scheduling best practices, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree targeting Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of related experience is required.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Experience in Microsoft Project Professional or other similar scheduling tool.
  • Ability to proactively drive conversations and ask detailed questions.
  • Must have excellent follow-up/follow-through skills.
  • Comfortable collaborating with multi-faceted teams to drive issues to closure within your domain.
  • Ability to confidently communicate status to completion on workload, and raise roadblocks/issues to team for mitigation.
  • Knowledge and experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and systems
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required


Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Advanced experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project or similar schedule toolset.
  • Comprehensive understanding of DCMA 14-point & IPMR DI_MGMT-81861.
  • Detailed understanding of Mil Standard 881.
  • Advanced application of Critical Path Analysis and Schedule Risk Analysis.
  • Proficient in Schedule Performance and Health Metric Analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering design and life cycle concepts.
  • Proven ability to assemble and build Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
  • Expertise in Event versus Product based schedules.
  • Proficient in Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development.
  • Thorough understanding of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development.
  • Extensive experience in the development and maintenance of resource-loaded integrated master schedules, including detailed schedule analysis, rolling wave planning, health assessments, schedule risk assessments, and critical/driving path analysis.
  • Skilled in facilitation of resource leveling, validation of remaining work, identification and resolution of critical path conflicts, and analysis of impacts to schedule of any proposed changes.
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, and teaching.
  • Ability to develop and conduct relevant stakeholder learning sessions.
  • Strong foundational understanding of Program Management processes.
  • Knowledge of DoD, government contracting, and/or public auditing policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Ability to support the development and delivery of key employee training, including new employee onboarding, continuous education curriculum, and certification testing.
  • Lead the coordination and generation of Schedule Risk Assessments (SRA) for complex schedules.
  • Integrate, analyze, and interpret schedule data for risk identification.

  • Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 20 pounds.
