Full Job Description
Summary:
UNC Clinical Research Partners (UNC CRP) is a newly established joint venture between UNC Health and the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill aimed at accelerating and growing clinical research across disciplines. UNC CRP serves as a centralized clinical research administrative service provider for research teams across both entities.

The Program Manager will report to and support the Chief of Staff in planning and coordinating high-priority projects and initiatives that cross-cut UNC CRP's business functions. This includes developing and implementing policies and standardized practices. The Program Manager will also be responsible for evaluating and optimizing operations across the organization to ensure standardized, quality, and cost-effective administrative services that advance the research mission.

Responsibilities:
Program & Project Management
• Leads, plans, and coordinates priority strategic initiatives that support UNC CRP's mission.
• Manages efforts to develop and implement policies and standardized practices in collaboration with numerous internal stakeholders.
• Independently manages timelines, deliverables, delegation of tasks, and communication plans for assigned initiatives.
• Identifies risks and barriers to implementation and works to proactively identify creative and feasible solutions.
• Prepares briefing materials, presentations, status updates, and implementation plans for UNC CRP leadership and institutional stakeholders.
• Manages critical centralized administrative functions and other duties as assigned.

Performance Evaluation and Process Improvement
• Develops and maintains an evaluation plan for monitoring operational performance of key business functions.
• Establishes, tracks, and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service quality, turnaround time, workload, study start-up metrics, vendor performance, and other operational measures.
• Performs data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Supports leadership in developing data-driven recommendations and action plans.

Cross-Functional Continuity & Service Integration
• Serves as a liaison across UNC CRP teams, with central offices, and with study teams to promote alignment and continuity of services.
• Helps evaluate and optimize handoffs between teams, identify service gaps or overlaps, and support implementation of standardized procedures.
• Facilitates communication and collaboration among groups to strengthen system-wide coordination.

Stakeholder Management
• Manages engagements with and operationalize actionable feedback from advisory bodies, leadership, research teams, and other key stakeholders in advancement of UNC CRP mission.
• Fosters internal and external relationships to establish UNC as a premier clinical research partner.
• Collaborates with leadership across entities to develop clinical research expansion strategies and support establishment and monitor performance of clinical trial operations in new and established research locations.
• Contributes to strategic communications efforts for both internal and external audiences.
