Summary

About the Position: This position is with the Anniston Munitions Center located at Anniston, Alabama. This position serves as a Program Manager responsible for munitions operations, transportation, personnel, budgets, and contingency planning.

  • Directs ammunition logistics processes to support safe and compliant mission execution.
  • Directs personnel to accomplish logistics missions and meet organizational priorities.

  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • This position requires Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) 30% of the time.
  • This position requires the incumbent to successfully meet and maintain the requirements of the Physical Security of Arms, Ammunitions and Explosives IAW AR 190-11.
  • This position requires the incumbent to meet the requirements of AMC-R 350-4, Training and Certification Program for the Personnel Working in Ammunition Operations.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as the Lautenberg Amendment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes applying logistics principles, practices, and procedures to manage ammunition supply and transportation activities; analyzing workload and resource requirements to support mission objectives and evaluating logistics plans and procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.
