Job DescriptionThe Program Manager, Talent Development, is responsible for building and managing workforce pipelines and career pathway programs that support Atlantic Health's workforce needs. This role partners with internal stakeholders, schools, community organizations and workforce development agencies to connect individuals with healthcare career opportunities, create pathways for team member advancement and develop sustainable talent pipelines for critical workforce areas.
Key Responsibilities:- Program Design and Implementation: Design, implement, and manage talent development programs that align with organizational goals, including internal mobility, career progression, pipeline development and conversion to hire.
- Internal Partnerships and Collaboration: Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Leadership, Human Resource Business Partners, Workforce Analytics and Hiring Managers to identify key program development needs. Develop and lead internal mobility programs, career events, and engagement initiatives designed to support employee growth, career exploration, and successful transitions into new opportunities across the organization.
- Hiring Programs: Develop, manage and participate in hiring programs to attract, onboard and retain talent including but not limited to career fairs, classroom presentations, shadowing experiences and career exploration events.
- Program and Event Management: Lead all aspects of early-career and workforce development initiatives, including scheduling, communication and participant engagement. Coordinate events and hiring programs to support talent development. Programs could include Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician Bootcamps, High School Shadow Days, and Teen Hiring Initiatives.
- Community Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with colleges, universities, vocational schools, high schools, workforce boards and community organizations to establish robust talent channels.
- Evaluation and Measurement: Measure the success of programs through data collection, analysis, and reporting. Use insights to evaluate and improve program effectiveness continuously.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess training needs and identify opportunities for employee development.
QualificationsRequired:- Bachelor's degree required
Preferred knowledge, skills, experience, and education:- Minimum of 5 years' experience in program development, recruitment, or related field.
- Experience developing workforce development, career pathway, internship, apprenticeship or talent pipeline programs preferred.
- Experience building partnerships with educational institutions, workforce development organizations, community groups, or non-profit organizations.
- Knowledge of healthcare workforce challenges and strategies for developing sustainable talent pipelines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills, with an engaging and approachable presence.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset to assess program impact and continuously improve based on feedback.
- Willingness to travel locally up to 20% of the time and nationally ~5%.
