JOB SUMMARY:

This position supports the successful delivery of strategic initiatives associated with the GAS Enterprise Asset Management (MATRiX) program. The ideal candidate will oversee the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution definition, system build, testing, deployment, and implementation support. In addition, this role will partner with Organizational Readiness and Business Process teams to assist with efforts related to training, course development, business readiness, change management, communications, and business process improvement. The Program Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the EAM solution is implemented effectively, adopted successfully, and delivers measurable value to the organization.

The selected candidate could work out of the following locations: Georgia or Illinois

This position follows a Hybrid Work Schedule. Employees are required to be in the office Four (4) Days per week.

Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role is responsible for leading and coordinating initiatives within the GAS Enterprise Asset Management (MATRiX) program, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy, operational priorities, and technology objectives. This role oversees program delivery for assigned workstream in a hybrid Agile environment and partners closely with business and technical teams to drive successful implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement of EAM solutions.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, project managers, analysts and stakeholders to ensure program objectives align with organizational strategy and operational goals.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for an assigned MATRiX program workstream, ensuring alignment of scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and delivery objectives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate business processes and technology solutions that support efficient and effective operations.
  • Facilitate program governance activities, including steering committee updates, status reporting, issue resolution, and decision-making processes.
  • Lead program planning activities, including roadmap development, prioritization, resource coordination, and delivery planning within a hybrid Agile framework.
  • Drive collaboration across business, IT, vendors, and implementation partners to ensure successful solution delivery and operational readiness.
  • Utilize analytical skills and business knowledge to support solution definition, process improvement, and continuous optimization efforts.
  • Oversee testing coordination and implementation activities to support successful deployment, functionality, and business adoption of solutions.
  • Lead efforts related to training, course development, communications, business readiness, and organizational change management to support successful transitions.
  • Assess organizational readiness for system and process changes, identifying gaps and coordinating mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Monitor program performance, risks, issues, and dependencies, proactively developing mitigation and contingency plans to support successful outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain program documentation, including processes, decisions, risks, configurations, and governance materials to support knowledge management and operational continuity.
  • Foster strong stakeholder relationships by maintaining open communication, addressing concerns, and ensuring alignment across program participants.
  • Lead and provide directions to project teams and workstream participants to ensure delivery of solutions aligned with program objectives and business needs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, delivery practices, and overall program effectiveness.
  • Provide back-up assistance to other roles within the department, as needed.
  • Participate in special projects, as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education, Certifications/Licenses:

Required:

Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, Data Analytics, Technology or a related field / equivalent work experience.

Preferred
  • Advanced degree
  • Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar credentials reflecting expertise in project management methodologies and practices.
  • GIS-related certifications such as Esri Technical Certification, GIS Professional (GISP), or other geospatial technology certifications.
  • Experience working with field data collection applications and mobile workforce technologies, including configuration, deployment, support, or process optimization related to GIS and asset management solutions.


Work Experience:

Required:
  • 3-5 years of experience in the utility industry or related industries.
  • 3-5 years of experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
  • 2-4 years of experience in data analysis and business process improvement
  • 2-4 years of project management experience required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Work Management, and Workforce Management principles and practices.
  • Experience managing workstream-level schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and deliverables.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams to support successful solution delivery and business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, manage multiple assignments, and meet established deadlines.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience facilitating meetings, driving collaboration, and supporting decision-making processes.
  • Experience supporting business readiness, change management, testing coordination, or implementation activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of utility business processes, operational workflows, or enterprise technology solutions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Strong Skills in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and PowerPoint, as well as other presentation software.
  • Experience using, supporting, or partnering with business-related systems and applications such as Click, Gas Maximo, GCMA, CCB, Power BI, GLOBE, or similar enterprise technology platforms.


Preferred:
  • Experience managing multiple tasks and deliverables in a cross functional team environment, working with diverse project leaders across multi-company and business units.
  • Experience influencing and managing project team members without formal direct reporting relationships.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility in supporting various project aspects, including but not limited to process improvement, system enhancements, and strategic initiative implementation.
  • Experience contributing to project environments with a focus on delivering results within allocated budgets and timeframes.
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks and deliverables simultaneously in a team setting, collaborating effectively with diverse project leaders from various companies and business units.
