The Program Manager within the Skullcandy Product Development team is responsible for managing and driving the successful delivery of projects from conception through launch. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, ensuring product quality, and aligning project goals with the company's strategic objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning and Management
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
- Define project objectives, deliverables, and milestones in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure project alignment and success.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members to achieve project goals.
Stakeholder Management
- Engage with key stakeholders, including executives, customers, and partners, to ensure alignment and support for project initiatives.
- Communicate project status, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders through regular updates and reports.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and address any concerns or issues promptly.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements throughout the development and production process.
- Implement and oversee quality assurance processes, including testing, validation, and compliance checks.
- Address any quality issues or defects promptly to maintain product integrity and customer satisfaction.
Budget and Resource Management
- Manage project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints.
- Allocate resources effectively, balancing project needs with available resources and capabilities.
- Track and report on project expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project management efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and apply them to future projects.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Master's degree and/or PMP certification is a plus.
- 4+ years of experience in project or program management, preferably in the consumer electronics industry.
- Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and manufacturing processes in consumer electronics.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Monday.com).
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes and regulatory requirements in consumer electronics.
Working Conditions- Full-time position based in Park City, Utah.
- May require occasional travel to manufacturing sites, partner locations, and industry events.
