  • The Program Manager, Security Innovation serves as subject matter expert on security technology systems, regulations, and programs and partners with various internal innovation teams on enterprise programs and initiatives.


What you'll do

  • Interacts with internal business and information technology units, industry partners, and regulatory agencies in identifying and implementing products and services critical to meeting American's security objectives
  • Determines operational objectives by analyzing business functions, gathering technical information, evaluating regulatory requirements and providing technology solutions to complex problems
  • Assists in developing and tracking Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as well as conducting examinations, inquiries and studies regarding security operations and compliance matters
  • Serves as American's primary contact and liaison with technology and innovation teams at DHS, including TSA and CBP, on employee, passenger, and cargo screening/vetting, and facilitation initiatives

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology or minimum 4 year equivalent experience/training

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
  • Airline industry experience, including business process and supporting technology
  • 3 years of experience in Agile methods and mindset as an approach to software development
  • Experience working with outside vendors and budgets
  • Experience preparing executive-level presentations
  • Experience in analytics, estimating and problem solving
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
