As a Program Manager - Sales LDP, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our sales organization by identifying, attracting, and developing high-potential talent. You'll lead innovative recruitment strategies across colleges and universities, building strong partnerships that generate a consistent pipeline of exceptional candidates ready to grow into leadership roles within Gallo and our distributor network.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with distributor partners and sales leadership to ensure alignment on staffing needs while delivering top-tier talent solutions. You will mentor and coach emerging sales professionals, guiding their development and helping them realize their full potential. Your ability to foster relationships and influence outcomes will directly impact the success of both our organization and our partners.
You'll also design and execute impactful programs, including internships, recruiting conferences, and development initiatives that enhance candidate engagement and retention. By leveraging modern recruiting techniques and creative outreach strategies, you will elevate the candidate experience and strengthen Gallo's brand among future leaders. Your work will ensure a robust talent pipeline and contribute to building a high-performing, diverse sales organization.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of Gallo winery sales, Gallo affiliated or non-affiliated distributor sales, Gallo sales HR, or Gallo sales recruiting experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility OR Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of external selling experience; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of Gallo winery sales, Gallo affiliated or non-affiliated distributor sales, Gallo sales HR, or Gallo sales recruiting experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 9 years of external selling experience.
- Experience managing projects.
- Required to be 21 years of age or older.
- Required to see, smell and taste wine and spirits as part of job duties.
- Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
- Required to travel by airplane or automobile up to 50% during heaving recruiting seasons to visit regional colleges, universities, or employees and 25% the rest of the year.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
- Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
How You'll Stand Out
- Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of Gallo winery sales, Gallo affiliated or non-affiliated distributor sales, Gallo sales HR, or Gallo sales recruiting experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Skilled in effective communication techniques that proactively keep others informed while appropriately expressing ideas and thoughts verbally and in written form.
- Experience recruiting on a national, multi-location level and presenting new recruiting concepts to leadership.
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately and quickly learning systems, processes, and procedures.
