About the Opportunity

This is an open position with the FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp.

The Program Manager - Reliability Execution possesses a strong business and operational mindset with demonstrated ability to drive program execution across a broad portfolio of reliability work. This role serves as a central coordination point to ensure reliability investments are executed on time, within budget, and aligned with company reliability performance objectives.

This position is responsible for managing and tracking the execution of reliability programs associated with the annual capital and O&M budget. The role ensures planned work is completed in alignment with established schedules and that performance is measured against key reliability KPIs. The position requires close coordination across Engineering, Operations, Work Management, and Finance.

This onsite position can be located at Williamsport Service Center in Williamsport, Maryland or the Mon Power Headquarters in Fairmont, West Virginia.

Responsibilities include:
  • Leading coordination and tracking of reliability work tied to the annual budget.
  • Monitoring and reporting performance against reliability KPIs (SAIDI, SAIFI, CAIDI, and completion metrics).
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards and reporting for leadership visibility.
  • Coordinating across Engineering, Work Management, and Operations teams.
  • Tracking budget performance and ensuring financial accountability.
  • Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Driving accountability for completion of assigned work.
  • Supporting forecasting and prioritization adjustments.
  • Coordinating design readiness and execution.
  • Preparing executive-level reporting and presentations.
  • Supporting regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Supporting the FE storm process.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, Finance, Project Management, or related discipline and minimum 2 to 5 years related utility distribution experience are required.
  • OR Associates degree in Engineering Technology, Business, Finance, Project Management, or related discipline and 3 to 6 years of related distribution experience are required.
  • In lieu of a degree, High School Diploma / GED and minimum 4 to 7 years related utility distribution experience are required.
  • 2 to 5 years of project management experience or the equivalent is required.
  • Project management skills are required with an ability to develop, manage, and control multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills and KPI tracking capability.
  • Experience with SAP, GIS, and outage management systems preferred.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Possess a strong understanding of utility reliability and work management.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
  • Proficient in use of computers and PC based applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical ability are required.
  • Able to work independently, as well as collaboratively, with multiple departments in multiple locations.

FirstEnergy takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. In addition, your actual base salary will depend on various factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience.

The estimated pay range for this role is $68,500 - $116,000.
