PROGAM SUMMARY

The Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) program is supported by LA County Homeless Services and Housing Department (HSH) and was designed to serve individuals experiencing homelessness who have a chronic illness or physical disability. The goal is to transition individuals out of homelessness and into permanent housing, to obtain stability in all areas of their lives. Services take place within residential communities for individuals who are experiencing homelessness and eligible for PSH at a project site.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Program Manager will oversee the PSH PBV case management program and the operations of several sites in Los Angeles County. The Program Manager will manage the contract and relationship with HSH as well as additional community partners and provide ongoing supervision to the case management staff. The Program Manager will cultivate the talent of the team to provide high quality support to clients and partners and employ a "whatever it takes" approach to services.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Oversee the contract with HSH, including regular communication with HSH stakeholders and monthly invoic submission.
  2. Collaborate with all program funders and stakeholders, including HSH, housing authorities, onsite property management and external partners.
  3. Engage with community agencies and stakeholders to strengthen existing relationships and develop new partnerships.
  4. Provide direct supervision to Case Management staff to provide ongoing support and crisis intervention for clients as needed.
  5. Provide clinical supervision to MSW interns
  6. Develop and strengthen program policies and design to enhance client services.
  7. Manage program budget and track all program expenditures.
  8. Generate regular reports for HSH and other stakeholders as needed.
  9. Facilitate and/or attend regular meetings, including internal staff meetings, case conferences with program partners, and internal manager's meeting
  10. Manage case management database and all quality assurance measures.
  11. Process referrals from HSH and manage referral assignments to Case Managers.
  12. Co-manage the operation of the 24/7 case management crisis line.
  13. Facilitate professional development and training opportunities for staff.
  14. Oversee the hiring and onboarding of new staff members.

Requirements

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
  • Master's Degree in Social Work or related clinical field; LCSW licensure preferred
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • At least 4 years of experience providing direct mental health and/or intensive case management services to vulnerable populations
  • Experience working with individuals with chronic medical and/or behavioral health conditions and individuals who have experienced homelessness is a plus
  • Experience developing and monitoring program budgets is desirable

  • Basic computer knowledge, MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel required; comfort with learning new systems such as Apricot and Salesforce
  • Possession of a valid, clean California driver's license and a personal insured vehicle are required

Physical Requirements

Candidates should have physical mobility for tasks such as standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, twisting, and walking on uneven surfaces. They should be capable of performing stationary tasks like sitting for up to 6 to 8 hours a day. Additionally, candidates should be able to lift, carry, push, pull light to moderate weights up to 15 pounds safely. Requires mental acuity for analytical reasoning and document interpretation.

Salary range for this position is $85,000 to $90,000 per year. This position is being offered at $85,000 to $90,000
