This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
The Program Manager will support the Operations Reliability team by improving how equipment is requested, brought online, serviced, tracked, and decommissioned. This role drives the business operating system for the organization, ensuring reliability priorities, resources, performance metrics, and cross-functional actions are aligned to support safe, predictable, and efficient operations. The successful candidate will combine strong business acumen, operational rigor, program management, and executive communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and manage operating cadences, including staff meetings, business reviews, planning sessions, and leadership offsites.
- Prepare meeting agendas, briefing materials, presentations, talking points, and decision documents.
- Ensure leadership meetings result in clear decisions, documented actions, accountable owners, and timely follow-through.
- Own the business process, lifecycle operating model, requirements, and adoption strategy for an enterprise equipment lifecycle platform; partner with IT and system owners to design, implement, integrate, and sustain the technical solution.
- Draft and coordinate communications for internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Build process standards, governance, performance metrics, and reporting for enterprise workflows and optimization initiatives.
- Align stakeholders around shared priorities, resolve competing needs or unclear ownership, and drive decisions that optimize outcomes.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce cost, eliminate waste, and increase process velocity across BUs.
- Serve as a strategic partner to BU and functional leaders, translating business needs into actionable systems, process, and operating-model improvements.
- Stand up and run the response cadence when major equipment or process failures occur, ensuring issues are triaged, owners are assigned, corrective actions are tracked, and leadership has a clear picture of status and risk.
- Support organizational design, team development, employee engagement, and change-management initiatives.
- Promote effective internal communication and alignment throughout the organization.
- Support annual planning, budgeting, headcount planning, forecasting, and resource allocation activities.
- Track execution against commitments and ensure timely escalation, action closure, and resolution of cross-functional issues.
- Establish and run the vendor oversight cadence for critical equipment and service suppliers, tracking performance, open commitments, and corrective actions through to closure.
- May require up to 25% travel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Operations, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in business transformation, operational excellence, systems integration, program management, or a similar field.
- Demonstrated success identifying process inefficiencies and delivering measurable cost savings, productivity improvements, or workflow enhancements.
