About This Role As a Program Manager, you will own how General Matter's manufacturing & production organizations builds its operating rhythm, acting as a thought partner to that leader on priorities, decisions, and day-to-day execution. You'll play a critical role keeping a fast-moving engineering org aligned, unblocked, and focused as General Matter works to build a domestic supply of enriched uranium and secure America's energy future. This role requires exceptional initiative, structured thinking, and communication skills - you'll turn ambiguity into clear plans, design the processes that let an engineering org scale, and ramp quickly on technical and regulatory subject matter. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments and operates independently with limited direction.
Responsibilities - Own critical-path program visibility and turn noisy status into clear, leadership-ready updates.
- Act as thought partner to an engineering leader, unblocking them to spend their time on the highest-value items.
- Build and maintain schedules, trackers, dashboards, and executive briefings.
- Design, run, and improve core engineering processes - design reviews, review cadences, and reporting workflows.
- Standardize team workflows (status collection, drafting and routing, decision logs) into a repeatable operating rhythm.
- Track priorities, dependencies, and follow-ups so nothing slips.
- Partner across Engineering, Operations, Legal, Communications, and Security to keep initiatives aligned.
- Surface risks and execution gaps and drive them to resolution.
Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in private equity/venture capital, management consulting, operations, or a related field.
- Exceptional structured thinking and the ability to create order out of ambiguity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with strong synthesis ability.
- Strong organizational and execution skills across multiple concurrent priorities.
- Ability to ramp quickly on technical and regulatory subject matter.
- High ownership and bias to action.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
- U.S. citizenship (required for export-controlled and national-security-systems work).
Preferred Skills and Experience - A track record of designing and improving operational processes and operating rhythms.
- Experience working in startup or high-growth environments.
- Fluency with program management tooling and workstream management.
- Ability to manage sensitive, high-visibility work with professionalism and discretion.
Additional Requirements - Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
Compensation and Benefits The base salary range for this role is
$130,000 - $180,000 annually.
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and may be adjusted based on market conditions, business needs, or other factors. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
