Full Job Description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Program Manager to join our team in the Washington, DC area.

The Program Manager will report directly to the Health Vice President and oversee national execution across Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISNs). In this role, you will take ownership of program schedules, risk management, subcontractor coordination, and overall Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) accountability for large-scale healthcare IT deployments.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Direct national execution across VISNs, maintaining full oversight of schedules, risk management, subcontractor performance, and VA accountability.
  • Lead and manage a team of 50+ FTEs comprising mixed product and platform contributors, driving alignment across teams with divergent incentives.
  • Manage clinical stakeholder relationships and engage healthcare leadership to align technical solutions with clinical imaging and enterprise workflows.
  • Oversee national healthcare IT system deployments, maintaining sufficient imaging workflow fluency to actively guide operational and technical strategy.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities, manage contract deliverables, and ensure financial and schedule alignment with program objectives.
  • Drive operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across all program workstreams in support of VA health initiatives.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience leading to a Program Manager role.
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Demonstrated experience leading VA-scale or national healthcare IT deployments across complex enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams of 50+ FTEs consisting of product and platform technical personnel.
  • Technical fluency with imaging workflows and clinical systems sufficient to provide active technical and operational direction.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) certification.
  • Master's degree in Health Informatics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Deep domain expertise within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) organizational structures and VISN operational frameworks.
  • Proven track record of aligning stakeholder groups with competing priorities across enterprise health programs.


Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Veterans Affairs Moderate Risk Background Investigation (BI) or Public Trust clearance.


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and engage with leadership teams.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and government customer leadership, which may involve delivering executive presentations; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $153,800.00-$275,800.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
