Full Job Description
The general salary range for this full-time position is $63,400 - 99,200. Salary offers will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, skills, training and education.

In this position you will manage the Law Enforcement Training Center (LETC) for the Outreach, Engagement, and Training department, including identifying and securing opportunities for trainings alighned with department goals, overseeing logistics, contracts, and recruiting/retaining trainers. Builds and maintains relationships with hosts and attendees. Supports law enforcement engagement in policy strategy at the local, state, and federal level.

Responsibilities:
• Initiates and oversees operations for the Law Enforcement Training Center (LETC). Identifies opportunities for trainings through State Directors, relevant conferences, and direct contact with law enforcement agencies. Aligns trainings as needed with the legislative efforts of the policy team. Submits proposals and books trainings;
• Acts as the technical and primary lead in all aspects of LETC logistics. Serves as primary contact for hosts, attendees, and trainers, budgets for each class, manages and disseminates materials/inventory, ensures continuing education credits are secured, and oversees outreach to relevant agencies in the region of each established training;
• Offers guidance and support to State Directors and program managers for incorporating LETC into policy strategy;
• Collaborate with Specialist to ensure that all administrative duties for the program are completed;
• Manages living database that tracks LETC schedule, attendees, feedback and policy engagement;
• Builds and maintains relationships with LETC hosts and attendees to expand Humane World's network.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience required;
• At least four (4) years of experience in managing a training program, program management, event planning, continuing education, or another related field required;
• Fundamental knowledge and understanding of the law enforcement profession as it relates to animal crimes;
• Law enforcement experience is a plus;
• Event planning is a plus;
• Foundational knowledge of law enforcement operations and field response;
• Familiarity with adult instructional and learning principles;
• Experience building coalitions and engaging individuals, organizations, and governmental partners in pursuit of a shared goal;
• Ability to lead and guide staff to meet department and organizational goals. Strong knowledge of staff management practices. Flexible, willing to learn, and anticipates the needs of self and staff;
• Ability to set a positive tone for employees during their day;
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; high energy, self-motivated and proactive;
• Ability to manage issues requiring problem resolution and conflict management with excellent interpersonal and intervention skills;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence, demonstrated by the delivery of quality and timely outcomes;
• Strong interest in animal protection issues preferred;
• Willing and able to travel and work a flexible schedule;
• Proficiency of Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook);
• Ability to multitask and be flexible with regard to workload and assignments;
• Strong interpersonal skills are necessary.

This is a US position in the DC Metro Area - Remote Eligible
