Job Summary: The Youth Crisis Respite Program Manager provides leadership, clinical and operational oversight, and day-to-day management of the Youth Crisis Respite Program serving youth ages 13-17 in Travis County. The program provides a safe, supportive, short-term, 24/7 supervised environment for youth experiencing a behavioral health crisis or needing temporary respite from significant life stressors.

The program serves youth who are assessed as being at low risk of harm to themselves or others and provides a less restrictive alternative to psychiatric hospitalization when clinically appropriate. Length of stay is individualized based on youth and family needs, with stays typically ranging from several days to an average of up to 10 days.

The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed, youth-centered services while maintaining a safe therapeutic environment. This position oversees program operations, staff supervision, clinical coordination, crisis response, quality improvement, community partnerships, and compliance with organizational, contractual, and regulatory requirements.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

Required:

  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field. Master's degree preferred.

License:

Required:

  • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Preferred:

  • LPC, LCSW, Licensed Psychologist, or LMFT.

Experience:

Preferred:

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • At least 1 year of experience working in crisis residential care, psychiatric hospitalization, substance use treatment facilities, or other behavioral health treatment settings..

Hours: Full-Time.

Workdays: Monday - Friday.

Workhours: 40 Hours (Flexible).

Salary: $86,008.83 - $109,652.61 annually, plus an additional 10% crisis stipend.
