Full Job Description
Micron is conducting an extensive multi-year construction program. As a Program Manager responsible for facilities and construction, you will translate Global Procurement's strategic aims into comprehensive program plans. This will enable the organization to achieve specific and measurable outcomes, particularly within US capital construction and facilities operations efforts. You will use project management and organizational change strategies while nurturing collaborative relationships with partners to encourage teamwork and project support. Leading cross-functional teams of leaders and contributors from pertinent category groups, you will steer program delivery through meticulous planning, collaboration with customers and partners, accurate resolution of risks, issues, and decisions, and clear reporting to maintain accountability. Responsibilities Program and Project Coordination • Translate strategic objectives into project plans and program roadmaps. • Manage projects from inception to sustainment, including defining objectives, accomplishing plans, assessing risks, and ensuring goal achievement within budget and timelines. • Foster responsibility through transparent definitions, open communication, constructive feedback, and proficient program/project oversight. • Identify and manage project-level risks, making informed decisions for seamless implementation. • Establish methods for measuring and monitoring program performance, providing consolidated reporting for various collaborators. Collaborator Engagement • Align engineering, construction, operations, finance, legal, EH&S, quality, and IT around shared outcomes; resolve conflicts and remove blockers. • Cultivate trusted partnerships with collaborators to achieve program and project objectives. • Coordinate with program sponsors and collaborators to define problems, scope, progress measurements, timelines, and resources. • Effectively manage conflicts throughout the program or project lifecycle. • Communicate clearly and concisely, bringing to bear storytelling to engage and influence decisions, behaviors, or opinions. Domain Proficiency & Business Insight • Apply procurement expertise within capital construction and facilities management. • Apply business insight to incorporate standard methodologies and lessons learned in program and project execution. Data Fluency and Reporting • Leverage BI tools to enable data-driven decisions and insights ensuring optimal outcomes for Micron's central initiatives. • Understand, interpret, and act on data to drive decision-making, curiosity, and innovation. • Design and maintain executive dashboards and scorecards to communicate program health. Digital Dexterity & Innovation • Adopt new tools, processes, and systems for better ways of working and continuous improvement. • Find opportunities to use technology Agentic AI, Claude, MS Copilot and other AI tools for driving better business outcomes. Minimum Qualifications: • 5-8 years of pertinent experience in program/project oversight, construction administration, procurement program coordination. • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Construction Management. • Experience with mega-capital projects including construction and/or infrastructure procurement and/or project controls. • Advanced communication skills: influence without authority, executive storytelling, and engaging collaborators at various levels. • Advanced M365 skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot). • Ability to collaborate successfully within an international and varied team setting. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Construction Management Systems (Procore). • Firsthand experience with PPM tools (Microsoft Project/Smartsheet), ERP/eProcurement (SAP/Oracle/Ariba/Coupa), and BI (Power BI/Tableau). • Professional certifications: PMP/PgMP, CCM, PE, CPSM, or equivalent.
