The Program Manager, Divisional Portfolio serves as a strategic business partner within the Stationary Metrology Division and is responsible for establishing visibility, governance, prioritization, and execution discipline across the division's portfolio of strategic initiatives.
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Revenue & Business Operations, this individual contributor role functions as the central point of coordination for divisional programs spanning product development, commercial transformation, digital initiatives, cost optimization, partner enablement, and organizational effectiveness.
The successful candidate will not only manage programs but will also help shape how the division evaluates, prioritizes, governs, and executes strategic initiatives. This role requires a unique blend of portfolio management expertise, executive communication skills, business acumen, and the ability to influence outcomes across a highly matrixed global organization.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable facilitating executive portfolio reviews, developing governance frameworks, analyzing resource constraints, and leading complex cross-functional projects from inception through execution.
Job ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Strategy & Visibility- Develop and maintain a comprehensive portfolio view of all major divisional initiatives.
- Provide leadership with real-time visibility into project status, resource allocation, priorities, risks, and dependencies.
- Identify competing priorities, resource conflicts, and organizational bottlenecks impacting execution.
- Create executive-level dashboards and reporting mechanisms to support informed decision-making.
- Establish portfolio health metrics and governance standards.
Portfolio Governance & Prioritization- Design, implement, and continuously improve the divisional project and portfolio governance framework.
- Facilitate recurring portfolio review sessions with divisional leadership.
- Assess proposed initiatives against strategic objectives, organizational capacity, financial impact, and resource availability.
- Recommend projects for acceleration, restructuring, deferral, or cancellation based on business priorities.
- Ensure consistent project management methodologies and governance practices are applied across the division.
Strategic Initiative Leadership- Lead high-priority divisional programs from concept through implementation.
- Develop project charters, governance structures, milestones, risk mitigation plans, and executive communications.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives without direct reporting authority.
- Drive accountability and alignment across multiple stakeholder groups.
New Initiative Intake & Business Planning- Develop and manage a formal intake and evaluation process for new initiatives.
- Analyze business cases, resource implications, and strategic alignment of proposed projects.
- Present recommendations and trade-off analyses to divisional leadership.
- Support annual planning cycles and strategic portfolio reviews.
Executive Partnership- Serve as a trusted advisor to the VP of Revenue & Business Operations and divisional leadership team.
- Prepare executive presentations, portfolio reviews, strategic recommendations, and governance materials.
- Facilitate discussions among senior leaders to drive alignment and decision-making.
- Influence stakeholders across functions and organizational levels to achieve portfolio objectives.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Finance, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in program management, portfolio management, business operations, PMO leadership, strategy, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent strategic initiatives.
- Experience establishing governance frameworks, operating models, or PMO processes.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in complex matrix organizations.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency with project and portfolio management methodologies and tools.
