- Serve as the 508 Compliance and Accessibility Program Manager for the Agency
- Principal agency authority on Section 508 compliance matters and manages legal compliance risk on behalf of the agency.
- Establish policies, processes, and programs to enable agency compliance with government laws and regulations.
- Lead the 508 Compliance team to ensure their proficiency and ability to assist in managing complex agency-wide initiatives.
- Expert in the development of organizational responses to real-world needs of employees and members of the public who have disabilities.
- Interpret and apply Section 508 and related accessibility laws, regulations, and standards across a broad range of organizational activities and business operations, including the procurement, development, maintenance and use of technology.
- Apply innovative strategies including identifying and recommending solutions to various Section 508 compliance issues.

Program Manager your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in, or related to, this position. To qualify for the NH-04 level, specialized experience must be at the NH-03 or GS-13 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
- Expertise with Section 508 Compliance and Accessibility Program
- Manage compliance initiatives across all project management key processes
- Design and implement change processes
- Coach and lead a team
EducationSubstitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
