RELOCATION ASSISTANCE: No relocation assistance available CLEARANCE REQUIRED FOR START: Yes CLEARANCE TYPE: Secret TRAVEL: Yes, 25% of the Time Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, and Missile Defense Integration Business Unit (BU) has an exciting career opportunity for a Program Manager 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Huntsville, AL. Role and Responsibilities: As a Program Manager , you will support the GMD Weapon System (GWS) Ground Support System (GSS) Hardware team's efforts working within an diverse environment. - Tracking and reporting cost and schedule performance (CAM duties) of a multi-disciplined systems engineering, integration, design, test, and production team - Interface with multi-disciplinary technical teams understanding their roadmaps, budgets, technical challenges, risks, dependencies, and GFX - Oversee proposal development, program planning, and execution through the Phases of the GWS Program - Coordinate with cross-division IPTs to ensure appropriate schedule integration - Ensure contract compliance and execution of SSOW requirements including timely SDRL submittals for external suppliers - Represent Northrop Grumman (NG) as a company, conveying our message to the customer; and integrating knowledge of the spectrum of NG capabilities with understanding of customer needs to promote our company and capabilities Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Systems Engineering and 5 years of related professional experience; OR Master’s degree and 3 years of related professional experience. Professional experience in technical projects, program planning, or project/program management. - Minimum of three years of experience in Systems Engineering requirements development OR three years of experience in Mechanical/Electrical engineering design implementation - Strong understanding of system requirements and systems engineering lifecycle - Experience with roadmap development on agile development programs - Prior Northrop Grumman CAM training and strong desire to learn CAM-specific responsibilities - Experience relaying complex Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) in a clear and concise manner to leadership - Experience with proposal development including authoring/reviewing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and technical evaluation of subcontractor inputs - Experience in risk development and management including mitigation planning and IMS integration - Effective communication skills with the ability to provideverbal and written information clearly, succinctly, and persuasively - Willingness/desire to develop and learn to lead through program management - Strong communication and briefing skills for leadership and customer audiences - Active Secret clearance required at time of application Preferred Qualifications: - Direct experience with Ground Support Systems product on GWS (LSS/LSS2/NGLE HW) - Direct experience with GMD system - Experience as Product Owner of an agile scrum team - Active Northrop Grumman CAM certification - Ownership and solution-based mentality - Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Primary Level Salary Range: $127,000.00 - $190,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
