The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Occupational Safety & Health Program Manager perform duties as a consistent liaison between operational leadership, shop-level supervisors, Occupational Medicine Services, Bio-environmental Engineering, Safety, the Installation Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Expert level knowledge of organizational operations, directives, protocols, procedures, applicable technical/process orders, and the specific nature of operations in the organization relating to occupational safety and/or health programs such as unit safety representative, confined space, fall protection, weapons & explosives safety, laser safety, radiation safety, respiratory protection, occupational & environmental health, and radioactive material control. Knowledge of occupational safety and health programs and related regulations, policies, and consensus standards. Knowledge and application of occupational safety and health practices and principals such as risk management, job hazard analysis, and methods to control hazards and exposures. Ability to independently administer applicable programs in an efficient, compliant, and effective manner; to advise managers, supervisors, and workers on matters of compliance, policy, and operations (including interpretating complicated, vague, or broad policies, directives, and regulations); to exercise sound judgment, to prioritize work so as to minimize adverse impact and maximize resources; and to advise others when existing policies, regulations, procedures, or directives are unclear or inadequate. Ability to research, analyze, and interpret requirements; apply requirements to existing and new situations; recognize and break down problems; devise solutions; and address gaps in knowledge or regulation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
1. 4. Knowledge of military/Air Force/AFMC/AFSC depot maintenance workload, directives, procedures, and processes, to include technical orders, process orders, drawings, etc. Skill in using information systems that store applicable technical data.
5. Ability to identify, analyze, interpret, and relay complex information, make appropriate judgments, evaluate courses of action, make data-driven decisions, and communicate information by oral and written means.
6. Ability to represent the organization internally and externally, both orally and in written correspondence, including the ability to attend meetings and give presentations necessary for the execution of weapons safety and other duties. Ability to resolve conflicts and establish effective working relationships using interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and to develop materials to relay and memorialize matters of importance or to fulfill regulatory/reporting requirements. Ability to negotiate complicated issues and gain cooperation through tact, courtesy, and diplomacy. Knowledge of
publications requirements and ability to carry out duties associated with publications development, review, and remediation.
