This role can be based in Palo Alto, CA or be based remotely in the US. In this role, you will support Program Office teams by managing and overseeing day-to-day financial planning processes including budgeting, monthly reporting, proposals, and variance analysis. The Program & Finance Operations team works closely with the CFO and senior executives to execute programs and support auxiliary organizations.

Responsibilities:
  • Support Program Managers (& other program POCs including Control Account Managers) to ensure cost and schedule performance including financial stability of the portfolio including direct program, IRAD costs, and capital projects
    • Advise PMs and their program teams on overall business and financial decision making processes
    • Continuously assess financial, technical and schedule risks and opportunities
      • Conduct weekly program assessments and risk reconciliation of functional labor and non-labor incurred costs and EAC forecasts, reviews risk and opportunity registers for correct factorization and assessment of realization or mitigation
      • Conduct monthly program reviews of cost incurred, ETC positions including risks/opportunities and Risk burndown plan
      • Reconcile program percent complete from cost incurred and program master schedule
      • Develop monthly EAC / Risk / Reserve walk highlighting EAC changes, mitigation strategies for any EAC growth areas and calendarized reserve position
  • Collaborate across program product line to help generate metrics to build cost models to support Business Development
  • Assist Factory Leaders in proposal cost and schedule activities
    • Collect data and ensure data integrity during proposal
    • Develop & maintain accurate models
  • Provide program and cost center metrics to support decision making
    • Assists CAMs/Cost Center Managers in coordinating with Program Managers related to their individual program work scope
    • Work to proactively identify and mitigate risk to maintain and improve program margin and schedule contingency
    • Review program calendarized labor to assess labor efficiency and to ensure adequate factory supply to meet forecast program demand
  • Support the monthly/quarterly financial cycle to ensure the accuracy of demand and alignment with available resources
  • Ensure IRAD and capital plans are in line with annual budget
  • Establish new program baselines
  • Support preparation of Annual Operating Plan
  • Provide ad hoc financial modeling and financial analysis
  • Support special projects and process improvements within Finance

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field. 4 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
  • 10 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years in a Financial Analyst role or factory line management experience with cost and schedule management accountability

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA
  • Experience working for a manufacturing company
  • Government/Commercial Program finance experience
  • Government/Commercial proposal experience
  • Experience with Oracle, SAP and Tableau
  • Superior analytical skills, combined with excellent business judgment and strong ability to clearly and concisely communicate with management level personnel
  • Master level skills with Excel and other MS office applications
  • Active team player and works well under pressure
  • Organized, detail-oriented individual with ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy of information
  • Integrity with confidential information
  • Creativity in solving complex problems
  • Ability to work independently in support of team objectives

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
• The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $97,000.00 - $161,000.00 annually.• The base pay for this position within New Jersey is: $97,000.00 - $161,000.00 annually.• The base pay for this position within Delaware is: $97,000.00 - $161,000.00 annually.• The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $107,000.00 - $178,000.00 annually.• The base pay for this position within California is: $111,000.00 - $185,000.00 annually.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
