About the Role
GRID Networks is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Program Financial Analyst to join our team. This role serves as a trusted financial partner to program leadership, ensuring our programs are financially sound, contractually compliant, and positioned for successful execution.
As the financial lead across a portfolio of programs and corporate initiatives, you will oversee program budgets, forecasts, funding, and financial performance while providing actionable insights that support informed business decisions. Key Responsibilities
Program Financial Management
- Manage the financial performance of a portfolio of programs, including budgets, forecasts, actuals, and financial reporting.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze Estimates at Completion (EACs) and Estimates to Complete (ETCs) in partnership with Program Managers.
- Monitor funding levels, burn rates, cost-to-complete projections, and contract performance to ensure programs remain aligned with scope, schedule, and funding.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations that support program execution and strategic decision-making.
- Identify financial risks, trends, and opportunities, recommending corrective actions to optimize program outcomes.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Reporting
- Lead annual budget development and support long-range financial planning, including the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for leadership.
- Manage invoicing, revenue recognition, and contract funding status across multiple programs.
- Perform variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, communicating key drivers and business impacts to stakeholders.
Compliance & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Ensure financial transactions comply with company policies, accounting standards, contractual requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Support internal and external audits, reconciliations, and financial documentation reviews.
- Partner closely with Program Management, Contracts, Subcontracts, Accounting, and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial management throughout the program lifecycle.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance financial processes, reporting, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and 9+ years of relevant experience).
- Five or more years of experience in program or project financial management, preferably supporting multiple programs simultaneously.
- Experience developing and managing EACs, ETCs, forecasting, and cost performance reporting.
- Working knowledge of a variety of contract types.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, financial modeling, and complex formulas.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate financial information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience supporting large-scale, multi-element contracts.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and program financial controls.
