Full Job Description
Program Director

**MPH, MSW, or MA in Health/ Social Services is required**

$95,000 to $105,000

THE ROLE

The Program Director leads the day-to-day operations of a transitional family residence serving families with children. In this role, you will ensure the program runs smoothly, safely, and effectively, while maintaining full compliance with the standards and guidelines set by the NYS Office of Temporary Disability Assistance (OTDA), the NYC Department of Homeless Services (DHS), and Win.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead and supervise a multi-disciplinary team, including Social Service Supervisors, Housing Coordinators, and Case Managers
  • Integrate services across employment, childcare, and recreation to support comprehensive client outcomes
  • Coach, train, and develop staff to drive high performance and continuous growth
  • Champion and implement Evidence-Based Practices (EBP), Trauma-Informed Care (TIC), and Motivational Interviewing (MI)
  • Monitor program performance, ensuring progress toward permanent housing, employment, and family stability goals
  • Ensure timely, accurate documentation and compliance with program standards and systems (e.g., CARES)
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with community providers and stakeholders to expand support services
  • Oversee program operations to maintain a safe, compliant, and high-quality environment for residents and staff


WHO YOU WILL BE

  • You will hold an MPH, MSW, or MA in Health or Social Services
  • You will bring at least five (5) years of experience in human services, including three (3) years in a supervisory role with responsibility for staff and budget management
  • You will demonstrate familiarity with Evidence-Based Practices (EBP), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Trauma-Informed Care (TIC)
  • You will exhibit strong professional judgment, boundary-setting skills, and cultural awareness
  • You will have experience with CARES (preferred) and general comfort with workplace technology
  • You will be flexible and available to be on call as needed (24/7 support)
  • You will have bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred)
