Job Description

Product Compliance is a department within Caesars Entertainment that is responsible for working with regulators and independent test labs to gain the required approval to operate Caesars Sportsbook & Casino, Caesars Palace Online, Horseshoe Online Casino, and Poker products throughout regulated jurisdictions within North America. There is a portfolio of projects and continued operations in a growing number of jurisdictions that make up the Product Compliance program.

The purpose of the Program Director is to lead Caesars Digital business initiatives from a regulatory perspective, manage day-to-day operations of the Product Compliance team, and ensure projects are delivered on time while implementing efficiencies throughout the department by maximizing the department's bandwidth. The Program Director is responsible for managing the Product Compliance program, working in conjunction with the Product Technology development teams, Regulatory Compliance, Independent Test Labs, and Operations towards delivering projects of varying size and complexity. You will implement procedures to adhere to regulatory requirements and act as project lead for new markets and system migrations, including managing stakeholders. You will guide and mentor the team, removing impediments, acting as an escalation point, and serving as a champion for all in service towards delivering department objectives. You will continuously deliver optimal team performance in line with benchmarking, agreed metrics / KPIs, and associated scorecards.

Responsibilities

  • In conjuction with the Vice President of Product & Technical Compliance, lead the Caesars Digital business initiatives from requirements scoping to regulatory approval.
  • Manage the Product Compliance team's day-to-day work, holding the team, and stakeholders accountable to deliver key company projects.
  • Develop and implement processes that allow the team to efficiently track project deliverables, action items, risks, and dependencies.
  • Create and maintain a centralized repository of Product Compliance project collateral that can be a "one stop shop" for Product Compliance updates.
  • Build strong relationships with regulators and independent testing labs so that the Product Compliance team can utilize you as an escalation point.
  • Lead the Product Compliance workstream within Caesars Digital's jurisdictional expansion portfolio, launching the company's newest technology into new markets across North America where iCasino, digital and retail sports betting, and poker is legal.
  • Inform the Product Technology groups regarding approval timelines for new markets, new products, and steady state updates to existing products.
  • Within the domain of Caesars Digital's regulated markets, develop efficient processes focused on repeatability and scale of the submission and approval process.
  • Be hands-on and work closely with the Product Technology development teams to solve problems, not just delegate and track.
  • Build and maintain a submission and approval plan that tracks the milestones and dependencies across all project workstreams.
  • Track, surface, and mitigate project risks before they adversely impact the project timeline.
  • Liaise with third party independent test labs to ensure timely certification of all Caesars Digital products.
  • Work with the Vice President of Product & Technical Compliance to shape and make key decisions on objectives, scope, timescales, deliverables towards approval and gain key stakeholder engagement.
  • Act as the key project escalation point for Product Compliance, actively working with technical and non-technical stakeholders to identify and agree the best options to resolve issues throughout the project.
  • Guide Product Compliance in how to successfully be more agile and responsive.


Qualifications

  • 7 to 10+ years of experience in Project Delivery as a Program Manager, Sr. Project Manager, or equivalent.
  • 2 to 4+ years of experience within the regulated gaming industry.
  • Work very closely with the VP of Product Compliance to build out and define team operations processes.
  • Detailed knowledge of Product or IT delivery processes and approaches in use across the market, i.e., Agile, Scaled Agile.
  • Experience working with executive-level stakeholders, technical and non-technical, internal and external, regarding project and process management.
  • Strong customer focus recognizing internal and external customers, establishing effective relationships, and demonstrating a thorough understanding of customer needs.
  • Experience in process management and process improvement, specifically within an agile product organization.
  • Experience working with JIRA and Confluence.
  • Professional management skills including communication, networking, and influencing skills necessary to establish working relationships within the company up to board level and 3rd party development partners.
  • Confident operating within a constantly changing environment, with frequent prioritization changes.
  • Able to focus on strategic goals and objectives while dealing tactically with operational issues.
  • Experience with tracking agile KPI's and improving upon them.
  • Track the progress and quality of work being performed.
  • Keep the project team, stakeholders, and others informed about project status and issues that may impact successful project completion.
