The 365-bed facility is one of the largest free-standing psychiatric hospital s in the United States . We are located on a serene 37-acre campus in northeast Shelby County, serving as the setting for the treatment for children, adolescents, young adults, adults and seniors. Lakeside's comprehensive programs treat disorders such as bipolar disorder, psychological trauma, depression and anxiety, mental illness and addictive disease disorders such as alcoholism, drug addiction and substance abuse.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Program Director ensures the delivery of quality mental health care services to patients within the context of structured clinical programs and an interdisciplinary treatment team. The Program Director oversees the administrative and clinical responsibilities of both inpatient and outpatient programs. The Program Director provides clinical social work services on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health. The Program Director is responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, processing commitments, and discharge planning/case management service, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital.

Qualifications

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including, adults and dually diagnosed patients in an inpatient and partial hospital setting.

Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling, or Social Services related field required, licensure preferred.

Experience: Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting. Prior supervisory experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Licensure/Certification: TN LCSW, LPC, LP preferred.

Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice.

Supervision Received: Director of Social Services

Supervision Exercised: Program Coordinator, Therapist
